1terrible!Dec 23, 2007
I used it for a few days and all I got was a backache! Get an exercise ball and do crunches or the Gaiam ball, or Abdominal straps!

3So-soOct 24, 2007
Having owned the original Ab-Doer(until I wore it out), using the 'Extreme' is much more difficult, and far less comfortable. Much harder to use, which also means the desire isn't there. The spring is too stiff, and the handles are way uncomfortable. I've also noticed that this is far harder on the back. Caveat Emptor!!!

1to good to be ture!Jul 02, 2007
when I have this product I am so happy to have a dream work out my abs it look nice an achieving then something goes wrong I felt this is not working for me. I need to do something more exercise, so I go to the gym to do more work out with my abs it work fast than this product. It massage my spine not actually massaging my muscle which is bad for my bones (spine) it hurts. It end up displaying on my living room an I just let my wife use it when she feel like it. It's worthless, the gym gives my abs in shape fast with all the different variety of machine. If you want to focus on your abs just manage your waste not the pounds.

5Great Abdominal Workout, but you won't get a ripped 6 packMay 23, 2007
"The Ab-Doer is a piece of junk!" - "I used it a couple times and didn't see ANY results!"

Those are just a couple ridiculous reviews I've stumbled across the web when researching the Ab-DOer. I saw so many negative reviews for this product that I almost didn't purchase it, but I gave it a go and I must say I was impressed. It's a GREAT abdominal workout, and considerably reduces the presence of fat around your midsection, but please note: You will NOT get a 6-pack from this product!! If you were expecting to get ripped abs, this isn't the machine for you, at least not by itself. Also, those people making those reviews probably expected to sit on the chair and wiggle their tummies a few times for a couple minutes and that's it to get abs. WRONG! You will NEVER get a 6 pack just by using a machine, unless you have the genetics. You need to watch what you eat. I guarantee you that half of these reviews came from people who eat poorly and probably stop at McDonalds on their way to work in the morning, or eat fast food 3 or 4 times a week. They might even skip breakfast, eat a small lunch, and then gourge themselves at supper time. You should eat multiple meals small meals several times a day. Don't wait to get hungry to eat; you'll end up overeating. You'll lose more weight by eating 5 or 6 smaller meals than you would eating 2 or 3 large meals a day. That'll speed up your metabolism considerably, which is what you want.

So many people have said it's just another expensive coat rack, and that they felt nothing when they got done using the machine. Well for one, the reason why it became a furniture item as opposed to a workout machine is because you weren't motivated to get on it more than twice and refused to have anything to do with it past the first week because you expected results then and now! Your body isn't an amoeba, changing at will. You have to work it, condition it, and then you will start to see changes within a matter of two weeks, with considerable change 4-6 weeks along.

And people say they don't feel the burn they think they should, so obviously the machine doesn't do much for you. WRONG! For some odd reason, people feel that you need to be absolutely punished to see results and nothing could be further from the truth. I'm an active person, but I guarantee you that if you are inactive and go out to jog 5 miles, you'll feel like you want to rip your legs off and die, right? But the average person won't really feel the burn an hour afterwards or even the next day, but you'll start to see results within a matter of time, typically a couple of weeks. People think that just because your muscles burn the day after means that you have to feel that way with everything else. Not true! How many times do you feel the burn when you lift weights, as you're doing it? NEVER! I lift weights 4 times a week and I never feel the burn as I'm lifting, but I do feel fatigued as I get to my final reps on the final set. But you DO feel it the day after, and why is that? Because you're tearing muscle fibers that need to rebuild and lactic acid has built up due to anaerobic respiration by your cells' powerhouses. Yet if you go jog 5 miles, you feel the burn as you're working out and typically not the day afterward like you do with weights. You see how it's an exact opposite? Because it's aerobic respiration with jogging and anaerobic with weight lifting. Don't believe me? Try it. Go and do 30 sit ups, and I guarantee you that you will feel the burn the further along you go. But I also promise that the average person WON'T feel the burn 5 minutes afterward. Does that mean you aren't getting results? No, it means that you didn't rip apart your muscle fibers like you did with weight lifting, and that your cells got the oxygen necessary for the workout. You don't need to punish yourself, so quit thinking that you do!!

People say this product is poorly built, flimsy, whatever. The machine serves its purpose, and for $100, it's built like a $100 workout machine!! If you want an elite workout and elite craftsmanship, feel free to spend the $2000 on a Bowflex. You get what you pay for and I would say that this machine is definitely worth the money, unless you're expecting Mr. America results.

Some things you need to consider, though. You will see results from using this machine alone, but you won't reach anywhere near the potential unless you use this in conjunction with some sort of workout routine. You need to condition your body by either jogging, jump roping (probably the best), swimming, or cycling. In addition, eat healthy. Go for whole foods like 100% whole grain bread, fresh fruits and vegetables, reduced fat milk, etc. Avoid snacking on processed foods like potato chips and candy. Definitely avoid refined sugars like found in soda and sweets as these are very high in carbohydrates, which will whip you out of shape within a matter of a couple days.

5Top of the line A+++ A must buy!May 11, 2007
This machine is fantastic, well built and super awsome. I became the hulk in a few days and every girl wanted me.

Let's see how long this ridiculous review remains merely because it's "positive".
